Forge Motown exists to equip ordinary people to live as missionaries where they live work and play.

We long to see the rule and reign of God revealed in the everyday spaces of life all throughout Metro Detroit.

We train, coach and network missional leaders and churches throughout Metro Detroit.

Training - Forge Motown Missionary Training Residency

The residency is a 6-month coaching/training experience that will enable a pastor or layperson to develop a missionary posture and lifestyle – where they live, work, and play.

Forge training provides the following for the resident and, potentially, their local church or community:

• It will help them and their people develop a common language and passion for mission – where they’re already doing life

• It will help every person – pastor and layperson, young and old – to discover and respond to God’s unique call on their life – as a “sent” people into the world.

• It will help them and their people discern and clarify their call to a specific missional context – either a geographic “place” or a demographic people group.

• It will help them and their people develop common core practices for effective mission. They learn to engage neighbors intentionally, creatively, respectfully, and prayerfully.

Coaching - Forge Missional Coaching

Forge coaching offers 1-on-1 or group coaching for leaders and pastors who desire a guide to walk with them as they process:

• How to live as a missionary in their context

• How to equip and mobilize their church or community for mission

• How to pioneer new churches and missional communities

Our coaching is customizable but typically this would entail two coaching sessions per month.

Networking - Forge Partnership

Churches and organizations can partner with Forge Motown to use the Forge Residency to train their own leaders in their context. The benefits of partnership are:

• Relationship to a greater tribe personally, regionally and nationally. This includes 10-12 coaching sessions a year, connection to other like-minded churches in the area and access to national leaders and trainers

• Resources for training and mobilizing the church. This includes partnership training and the Forge online residency.

• Reciprocation to a larger movement. This includes access to thousands of leaders and practitioners to share what God is doing through each partner, platform resources and tools created by Forge partners to be used around the country and globally
